BIO: Jon Van Benthem is one of the founding members of abe Designworks, LLC, and has been its Managing Principal since its inception in 2002. Jon manages both the Westminster and Longmont locations. He has been a licensed architect in the State of Colorado and a member of the American Institute of Architects since 2000 and a LEED Accredited Professional since 2007.

Jon was appointed to serve on the Longmont Planning Commission in 2002 as an alternate commissioner. He was appointed as a full commissioner the following year and to a five year term in 2005. In 2006, he was nominated Chairman and has served in that capacity since. He has always strived for a balance among sound planning principles, quality architectural design, and common sense.

Jon represents his personal business and the City of Longmont in several professional organizations, such as:
